I really prefer m/s over km/s. As you've already mentioned, km/h is
derived from m/s.
In the mountains (at least here in Bavaria) they messure(?!) the wind
speed in m/s.
Thus we should stick with with m/s. It's bad that there's no official
unit in Germany.
