Re: [gnome-db] jdbc compile problem

2009/1/30 Mark Johnson <mrj001 shaw ca>
I got an e-mail regarding:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370349

I've upgraded to Slackware 12.1.  I has the following versions of Berkeley DB:
db42-4.2.52-i486-3
db44-4.4.20-i486-2

So I thought I'd download and try to compile 3.99.9.  It failed to build with the following error:
libtool: link: i486-slackware-linux-gcc -O2 -march=i486 -mcpu=pentium2 -o .libs/gda-jdbc-test gda-jdbc-test.o -pthread  ../../libgda/.libs/libgda-4.0.so /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so -lrt /usr/lib/libxml2.so -lz -lm /usr/lib/libgamin-1.so -lpthread /usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so -ldl /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so -pthread
/usr/lib/java/bin/jar cfm gdaprovider-4.0.jar ../../providers/jdbc/MANIFEST.MF *.class

This has been fixed in SVN trunk, you can get the missing file from http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/libgda/trunk/providers/jdbc/MANIFEST.MF?view=markup
or download it directly from SVN.

I haven't gotten to see if the BDB is ok yet or not.

I'm interrested in the result...
Thanks,

Vivien
