[gnome-db] mergeant and i18n

Hi!

I've tried to build recent CVS of mergeant. I'm unable to see russian
text in some menu entries. 'File' in main menu is Russian, but next two
entries in unvisible, 'Settings' is visible and translated again. In
menu 'File' first entry (New?) is not visible, next entries are visible
and translated. In other menu many entries are not visible too. Some
buttons are not visible.
Mergeant starts with many warnings 'Invalid input string', every choice
of invisible menu entry causes warning "Invalid UTF8 string passed to
pango_layout_set_text()'. And at last File->Quit causes the most strange
message "Gdk-WARNING **: Error converting from UTF-8 to
'ANSI_X3.4-1968':". I even don't know nothing about such encoding :)
