[gnome-db] the road to 0.9, please help

Hi

As you all know, yesterday's release (0.2.96) might be the last for
GNOME 1.4, so, the next release, if all goes well, will be 0.9, which
will be targetted only to GNOME 2 (which should be out in some days). I
intend to have this version as soon as GNOME 2 is out (some weeks later
more or less).

So, I am trying to establish the things to do before we get a fully
functional 0.9 version. For this, here's a bugzilla query:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?product=gASQL&product=gnome-db&product=libgda&product=libgnomedb&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&email1=&emailtype1=substring&emailassigned_to1=1&email2=&emailtype2=substring&emailreporter2=1&changedin=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&short_desc=&short_desc_type=substring&long_desc=&long_desc_type=substring&bug_file_loc=&bug_file_loc_type=substring&status_whiteboard=&status_whiteboard_type=substring&keywords=&keywords_type=anywords&op_sys_details=&op_sys_details_type=substring&version_details=&version_details_type=substring&cmdtype=doit&order=Reuse+same+sort+as+last+time&form_name=query

This one shows ALL open bugs for gASQL, gnome-db, libgda and libgnomedb.
Most of them are marked as 1.0, which means they are targetted for
libgda/libgnomedb/gnome-db 1.0 (to happen later).

So, what I want from people is:

* use the current CVS HEAD version, report any bug to bugzilla

* while using the software, also add to bugzilla what you think should
be added to the 0.9 version, which should be functional, though it does
not need to have all the features.

* for people writing providers, please say as soon as you can what else
you may need for your provider in the libgda API.

I'll add shortly a 0.9 milestone to bugzilla and will be marking the
bugs for that version as such.

If you've got a bugzilla account, please add bugs yourself, if you
don't, you can either open a new account, or just answer to this mail,
and I'll add the bugz myself.

cheers
