Maybe a newer version of glib avoid this warning and many others (the
same happens when compiling mono).

We'll have to see what the 'autotools' experts say (if there is any
around :).

It's the directory that contains the lib directory in which postgres
libraries reside (ie, <directory>/lib/libpq.so or pq.dll).
