To use the Oracle provider, you need to do 3 things:
1) from a console window enter 'export ORACLE_HOME=<path to oracle>' (no
quotes)
2) 'export ORACLE_SID=<Oracle Service ID (orcl in my case)>'
3) when setting up the provider using the Gnome-DB guru, leave the dsn
block blank
