Check out http://www.freetds.org - if you compile with various
switches you can get at MSSQL7.0, although this is still a bit
experimental (that wouldn't stop anyone who uses bonobo and/or oaf
tho, would it, smirk, smirk).
Tho I haven't tried it, apparently it lets you get a MS-SQL-Server
using the perl DBI/DBD-Sybase, even, but as is it gives you the
C API.
