yes, sure, there are more cryptic names, but that is not an excuse  :)

hmmm ...

libgdataaccess  (the only problem is the two 'aa' togheter)
libgdbaccess    (I think this is good)
libgdbc         (ha !)

I mean, db is associated by most users and developers with database ...
