RE: Using gnome-db in Glade

Yes, reached that conclusion from scanning gda-config just before I got your
post, so glad to know I'm on the right track. I have a good background in C
but can only guess at PERL.
I have already obtained the CVS version and have my first error log.

Here it is:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
kgb10:/home/billb/gnome-db/gnome-db# ./autogen.sh
**Warning**: I am going to run `configure' with no arguments.
If you wish to pass any to it, please specify them on the
`./autogen.sh' command line.

processing .
deletefiles is macros/gnome-gettext.m4
Creating ./aclocal.m4 ...
Running gettextize... Ignore non-fatal messages.
You should update your own `aclocal.m4' by adding the necessary
macro packages gettext.m4, lcmessage.m4 and progtest.m4 from
the directory `/aclocal'
Making ./aclocal.m4 writable ...
Running libtoolize...
You should add the contents of `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to
`aclocal.m4'.
Running aclocal -I macros ...
aclocal: configure.in: 60: macro `AM_PATH_OAF' not found in library

**Error**: aclocal failed. This may mean that you have not
installed all of the packages you need, or you may need to
set ACLOCAL_FLAGS to include "-I $prefix/share/aclocal"
for the prefix where you installed the packages whose
macros were not found
kgb10:/home/billb/gnome-db/gnome-db# exit

So, I have a 0 length aclocal.m4 and will merge the named .m4 files into it.
I suppose that autogen.sh creates aclocal.m4 only if it doesn't find it.

Where will AM_PATH_OAF be found and what should be done with it?

Nope, that wasn't it.
Reran ./autogen.sh and got the same log of errors, but now aclocal.m4 is
larger that what I merged in.

Guess I need a little help here.

Thanks
Bill
