Well,
I've been trying to get Gnome running smoothly for a little while now. I've
gotten most kinks out running Sawfish, but I'd prefer to use Enlightenment.
I have dual displays. Sawfish was ok with that, but now Enlightenment
doesn't is getting confused. I do not run my displays at the same
resolution--one is 1024 and one is 1280. When I run Enlightenment with
Xinerama in full screen mode (or out of console mode), it demands common
visuals between the displays. When I run Enlightenment with Xinerama
rootless in Quartz, it works ok but just pretends that my smaller res.
display is at the same res. As the other.
When I run Enlightenment without Xinerama, it runs OK on my primary display,
but then another instance of Enlightenment runs on the inactive display. I
don't get it!
I am ready to hear "common visuals or one visual," but even that's not
working . . .
Any quick (or long) suggestions?
thks,
--carlos.
