Summary: Typing something in calendar view (day, workweek, entire week, month views) begins a new task ONLY if first character was ascii
Can't start new contact if I begin typing non-ascii chars (e.g. russian).
If I type something in ascii, new task is started.

+------- Additional Comments From damon ximian com 2001-08-05 16:52 -------
+The problem here is that the text field that you type into isn't
+created until you type the first character.
+
+I don't know how we can fix this. One possible solution is -
+when the first character is typed, we create the EText item
+and then send the exact same key press event to the EText item,
+in the hope that it will handle any i18n issues correctly.
+
+(Changing priority to Major.)
