libfolks also maintains caches of your Telepathy contacts to allow you
to access them when offline.

No real effort has been made to optimise libfolks or gnome-contacts (as
far as I know), so there are probably a few things which could be fixed.
If you'd like to profile gnome-contacts and find some areas which are
slow, that would be great!
