Join gtk-devel-list

Hi,

Just a heads-up. Discussions or design documents have been posted to
gtk-devel-list recently about combo box/option menu work, file
selector work, and menu/toolbar/dock/menumerge etc. work. These are
all targetted for 2.4 at soonest but people are already wanting to
hack on them.

If you are interested in how this stuff comes out, or working on
equivalent functionality in another library layer, you need to be on
gtk-devel-list and reading these threads and commenting as
appropriate. In particular I think everyone should look at the
menu/toolbar stuff James posted today.

I'm sure other topics will arise on gtk-devel-list in the future -
what it comes down to is, if you're working on the GNOME platform, you
need to be following gtk-devel-list.

We may someday have a more formal process in place to be sure you can
participate in important API additions without following a lot of
lists, but for now, realistically if you are interested you need to be
on the relevant lists.

Havoc
