the latest is not on ftp - it's in CVS - you wil need to install cvs
and arc on your machine, then access the cvs server (read www.gnome.org
on information on how to gain public access to code in cvs - this will
help greatly as you can get the absolute latest stuff with all the
latest fixes etc. faster...)

it will get 1.2 when i think there aren't any mroe bugs to be found.. I
currently dont' believe there are any.. i havent run into any myself,
and i havent heard any reports form people using the latest from cvs
for a fair while... but i'm not goign to jump until I'm sure.
