It could be the nvidia driver at fault. Can you attach the output of
"colormgr get-devices" -- also can you try running nouveau and do the

About nouveau, the xorg-x11-drv-nouveau package is already installed. What do you mean exactly by 'running nouveau and do the same thing'? There don't seem to be any 'nouveau' command.
