I guess I'm not understanding the usage model for colord then.
- Is it supposed to do display detection as a system service (e.g. through udev), or be fed a list per-user-login?
- When is it supposed to start anyways? (I guess DBus starts it in response to a request, so it's not a system startup service.)
- What's the use for persistent devices then, if they're supposed to be dynamically added on startup? (And what does a profile represent -- an ICC profile? Or some meta-association of device and color profile?
I'm reading the FAQ and not really getting all the answers. Maybe I can get it sorted out, then contribute some sort of "how it works from 30,000 feet" entry.
Thanks,
-John Sheu
