bug-buddy/bugzilla wishlist

hi bugzilla,
hi bug-buddy,

i have some wishes:

* bug-buddy: add a sentence that people should preferably submit their
bug report in english. new (gnome) users do not know this, and my
knowledge of the french and russian language is not the best. ;-)

* bugzilla: "do not inform me by email when a bug has been marked as a
duplicate of the bug that i am CC'ed on" user preferences option. (i
know that you're already working on this, tia.)

* bug-buddy: refuse duplicate crasher reports for bugs that are already
fixed. this would be the first step to save much time - e.g. bug 351603
has got 1000 duplicates now, but comment *11* already stated that the
issue had been fixed in cvs.
disadvantage: if a bug has been marked as fixed *in bugzilla*, but this
has not happened in cvs (some issue can be very hard to track), any
potential duplicate reports which could show that the issue is
definitely *not* yet fixed would get lost. so there should be at least a
comment added to the bug report that a duplicate entry has been blocked,
otherwise i would miss transparency.

* bugzilla: ability to mark versions as obsolete, e.g. in the
maintainers corner. this "obsolete" information will be saved in
bugzilla, and bug-buddy/bugzilla will not allow to file bug reports for
such ancient versions just by quickly comparing the "version"
information. instead, the obsolete stock answer will get displayed in
bugzilla and in bug-buddy, so the user knows that he should get a shiny
new bling-bling gnome version.

* bugzilla: (pretty vague:) exact "which dbg packages do i have to
install" information available as "bad_stacktrace" stock answer,
depending on the distro, the distro version, and the product name of the
bug report.
currently, we expect the user to read the bugzilla comment, to click at
the link to the wiki page, read the wiki page, go to the "distro
specific" page, and from there on to find out himself which packages to
additionally install. sounds complicated? indeed, that's why the return
on needinfo is pretty bad and wastes a lot of the bugsquad's time.

any ideas and comments if stuff is technically feasible are welcome.

cheers,
andre
