Geary 3.38.0 released

Hi all,

Geary 3.38.0 has been released! This is a new feature release that 
rolls up six months of new features, bug fixes, server compatibility 
improvements, and translations in over 20 languages for both the 
interface and the online help manual, all contributed by the community.

This new release adds support for plugins, optional features that can 
be switched on in Geary, and comes with a number of plugins out of the 
box, including playing a sound when email is sent, for creating email 
templates and for creating mail-outs by mail merge with a spreadsheet 
(CSV) file. Plugins can be switched on by opening the Preferences 
window from the app menu and selecting the Plugins page. More plugins 
will be added in future releases, and more information about plugins in

Geary now uses the download preference for your accounts not only 
downloading email up to the selected date range, but also for cleaning 
up messages older than the range, ensuring your devices don't fill up 
with old email.

There has also been a number of smaller improvements, including showing 
contact photos from your desktop address book in notifications, 
reducing the number of network problems reported by automatically 
recovering from them, improved ordering of email folders, the Spam 
folder has been renamed to Junk, and more.

We are also working on a privacy policy for Geary, feedback on the

One final note, since Geary is following the GNOME desktop's release 
process, the next major feature release of Geary will be numbered 40. 
Watch out for it in another six month's time!

Geary 3.38 is now available for installation from https://flathub.org, 
and will be available in your favourite distribution as soon as it is 
packaged.
