Hi,
The Gnome Chemistry Utils 0.12 (actually 0.12.1) have been released.
Sources are available at:
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/gchemutils/0.12/
The Gnome Chemistry Utils is a collection of chemistry related programs
for the Gnome desktop. These programs are currently:
- a 2D chemical editor (GChemPaint).
- a chemical calculator (computes raw formule, molar weight, mass
composition and isotopic pattern).
- a molecule 3d viewer using OpenGL to display molecular models.
- a crystal structues viewer and editor.
- a periodic table of the elements.
- a spectrum viewer.
Main news for the 0.12 series are:
GChemPaint:
- Use a new cairo based canvas;
- New tools: orbitals and curved arrows;
- Enhanced text tools;
- Experimental cdx and cdxml export (not compatible with old ChemDraw
versions).
GCrystal:
- Supports space groups;
- Load CML and export both CIF and CML.
Best regards,
Jean
