About the Project
====================
Global Menu implements a global menu for GTK applications under Gnome
and XFCE desktop environments. A global menu eases the user to focus on
the tasks by eliminating the dis-attractive menus from inside the
application windows. At any given time, only the menus of the active
window are presented to the user at the topmost edge of the screen.

In Gnome desktop environment, Global Menu also implements a new active
window switching mechanism via a global menu entry.
