Hello all. Continuing on the Sunday tradition is a new release of
procman version 0.7! My midyears resolution is to release a new version
every Sunday from now on - even if there are no changes - every one
loves a new release right?
What is procman?
Procman is a process viewer (process manager - hence the name ;) and
system monitor
What's new in 0.7?
* view running processes option
* "hide" feature - define which process you don't want to see
Not complete though - Only way to reshow them is to mess with
the ~/.gnome/procman file
* show tree view by default
* lots of UI improvements
Debian packages are now available! Thanks go to Carlos Perelló Marín for
doing this!
Where can I get procman?
The procman web page will lead the way.
http://www.personal.psu.edu/kfv101/procman/
Procman will work with the latest release of GAL 0.9 which can be
downloaded from http://download.gnome.org, but it should still work with
the 0.8.99.x releases of which packages are available from Ximian under
the evolution-snapshot directory.
Procman is also near feature completeness for the 1.0 release. If there
is a feature that you are dying to have let me know.
Regards,
Kevin
