ANNOUNCE: Control Center 1.3.1

Greetings,

The next development version of the GNOME Control Center is now available 
at
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/unstable/sources/control-center/control-center-1.3.1.tar.gz

This is an *unstable* release, containing many bugs, missing features, and
assorted breakages. If you are looking for a stable, proven release
(packagers, take notice), this one is not for you.

This release includes much work on the capplets, with the following
changes:

	* A new background properties capplet that uses GdkPixbuf rather
	  than Imlib

	* Major code reorganization for many of the other capplets: bell,
	  keyboard, mouse, ui, and sound, in preparation for Bonobization

	* Bug fixes from the stable tree applied

	* Some (not all) binary compatibility issues with libcapplet fixed

	* Enhancements to the dialog generation code in the new
	  screensaver properties capplet

If you are interested in trying out a development release, please do so
and send me any suggestions or patches you have.
