GConf 0.8

Hi,

Another release of GConf. GConf is a configuration database system,
read about it here:
 http://developer.gnome.org/feature/current/index.html

This is pretty much a bugfix release. It has some general fixes and
feature additions from George, and some build/Makefile tweaks from
Robin Slomkowski and Ralph Loader. The spec file in the tarball has
some chance of working this time, but no promises. ;-)

At this point, GConf is primarily interesting for developers, and for
people trying to build bleeding-edge stuff such as Nautilus and
Evolution.
