Hey, GNOME Ambassadors -- what upcoming conferences or events do you want to represent GNOME at, and do you need any resources or guidance to do so? Feel free to edit http://live.gnome.org/Ambassadors to add links to useful resources. I'm hoping to help connect Ambassadors with upcoming events and ensure we don't miss the conferences' deadlines for speakers' applications.

You can use http://www.meetup.com/ http://lwn.net/Calendar/ and http://lanyrd.com/ to find some upcoming tech-related gatherings in your area.

I just looked at the LWN calendar and wondered whether someone in Asia might want to hit LinuxCon Japan http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/linuxcon-japan (call for participation closes on 11 March), or whether someone in Europe might be interested in presenting at this year's DebConf http://debconf11.debconf.org/ .

Two more items: Is anyone interested in speaking about GNOME at http://oss2011.org/ the 7th International Conference on Open Source Systems, 6-7 October 2011 in Salvador, BA, Brazil? Their Call for Papers is open.

And I wanted to bring people's attention to some GNOME fundraising ideas that got developed last year, including some things to do at conferences:

Is this something you're interested in? As Ambassadors, would you be interested in fundraising along with public speaking and writing?
