Windows voices on Linux

Wouldn't it be cool if you could use all of your favorite synthesized
voices from Windows on Linux?

Besides being cool, it would also open up a huge possibility for further
internationalization. For example the only useful Hebrew voice is by a
company called Melingo[1], and they only support Windows SAPI. I bet
Arabic has the same problem.

I figure it shouldn't be impossible to make drivers for your favorite
speech service with Wine[2]. In this fashion, almost all the Windows
voices would be available on Linux.

Now, just to find a wiki page to add that too and forget about it...

Eitan.
