I'm not a Fedora user, so I don't know much about it. But...if your
machine is inside your company, and your company has a firewall, then
you might be running into that and you will need to talk with your IT
department for how to get around it.
BTW, just to be 100% sure, you set CVSROOT to the following, and not the
misspelled version in your e-mail, right?
CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org/cvs/gnome
I verified this worked on my machine (i.e., I was able to grab sources
via the 'anonymous' directions), which is connected to the wide open
internet.
