Are you perhaps meaning the Speakup Modified Fedora Distribution? It can
be found at:

It works perfectly well. We're currently a fully updated analog of FC3.
By the way, because the Speakup Modified is updated as Red Hat releases
updated packages for Fedora, it makes a better choice for installation
than the stock Fedora which is now six months old and better than 1 Gb
of updates out of date.
So, you don't need to be blind to appreciate the benefits of installing
from the Speakup Modified.
