Below are the annoying messages from autogen.sh
checking for automake >= 1.4...
  testing automake-1.4... not found.
***Error***: You must have automake >= 1.4 installed
  to build gnopernicus.  Download the appropriate package for

    http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/automake/automake-1.4.tar.gz

ok that automake-1.4 isn't found, but why doesn't the scripts test for
automake-1.7?
