Re: Installing Gnome on Redhat 7.1 - is it possible

Hi, John.
I believe it is possible to use your Braille Lite, but you require a
terminal application for your Braille Lite. I think there use to be one
called braille term or something like that for the BNS, TNS, and Braille
Lite. I'm not up to speed on those note takers any more, and don't know what
is currently offered for them.
However, your serial port settings are correct, but you need to have a
terminal application listening on your Braille Lite's serial port, and you
will need to launch Red Hat's installer with the command:

linux text console=ttyS0

Make sure you have the proper cabling, because you do need some cables, and
a null modem between your Braille Lite and the pc with Linux going on it.
Hth.
