I also see the following, after trying to access my home dir with the
button on my desktop: 
nautilus: relocation error: nautilus: undefined symbol:
nautilus_sidebar_for_each_panel 

Well, it appears I actually have nautilus installed, but it sure
sounds like something important is either missing or misconfigured.
