Re: Gnome-speech problems.

Ok, I've checked out the latest gnome-speech code, and it did build although
it gave several warnings along the way.
I've then installed it, and it still isn't working.
I've run the test-speech app, and neither ViaVoice or festival is working
with the test-speech app.
The test-speech app states that both ViaVoice and festival server have
failed. Both Viavoice and festival are installed and working properly, but
gnome-speech doesn't seam to find them.

As to another matter I managed to build gnopernicus and gnome-mag, but I
can't figure out how to get gnopernicus to run. When I type gnopernicus from
the command line I get the error can't open display. I know that it is
looking for an x display, but I obviously can't get into x to launch
gnopernicus from there.
I then, tried putting the lines in a .xinitrc file:

festival --server &
gnopernicus &
gnome-terminal &
exec gnome-session

X launches, but no gnopernicus. Any suggestions?
