Basically it could be something like

Pixmap GtkComponent::render(int width, int height)

In gtk-vector-screenshot this boils down to creating a cairo
surface with cairo_xlib_surface_create_for_bitmap, calling
gtk_widget_draw(widget, cr), and returning the result to ezoom which can
render it as it wishes.
