Hi all.
I am unable to get Festival working with gnome-speech 0.3.6, not even
with test-speech.
Test-speech allows me to run tests such as pitch, rate and volume
change, interrupt test, etc. All appear to work fine, however I hear
nothing. I can get festival to speak if I run festival --tts and enter
words to speak, but that is it.
I am running gnome-speech 0.3.6 under Gnome 2.9.91 with festival
version 1.4.3, in the Ubuntu Hoary development branch. I would like to
get this fixed in general, as well as for this distribution.
Suggestions welcome.
Luke
