Hello,
This is probably the only list where someone will understand what I am
talking about. I installed garnome-0.27.1 and installed the desktop, which
in turn installs Gnopernicus. I had previously installed brltty-3.3.1 with
--enable-brlapi and had it running when I installed garnome and started
gnome. The version of Gnopernicus in Garnome does not seem to support
brltty properly. So I got the latest version from CVS and installed that
with --enable-brltty=yes. Now I got the message "Cannot open brlapi
conmnection"
, which the Garnome version did not give. So I finally got the
authentication key in the right place, and now it works, sort of.
Gnopernicuys starts after a long wait, and the braille display (a Braille
Lite 40) works properly. However, keystrokes on the Braille Lite, except
for the advance bars, have no effect. I have confirmed that CONTROLVT is
set corectly. What should I check next?
In the long term, I hope to do some development work on Gnopernicus,
specifically, inttroducing a blinking cursor and Grade 2 translation.
Thanks,
John
