Hmm .. this played out to differently to the version in my head.
I offered to "help" and everybody starts saying "great, we need to
someone to lead". It must be some kind of Northern Hemisphere conspiracy
or something.

Since I am going to have to actually design this tool, rather than just
start coding it, expect to see something on the list at some point that
people will need to go over with a fine-tooth comb and critique.
