This has been in CVS HEAD for ages....I guess I forgot to close the bug

Well gdialog has been punted from 2.0 both from the community and from
Sun - I don't think anyone will be using it...but yeah, we should just
commit it anyway [because it will be a conditional compile - ie.
--enable-gdialog]. I'll do that right now.

Yeah, I've got a patch for this to completely wipe out the Settings and
View menus...whoever code this must have been on crack at the time. I
really want to get this in, but documentation people aren't too pleased
with so many UI changes. However, I think I can struggle to get this in
for 2.0 too.
