Hi Padraig,
You can look at the gnome-calculator. Set the keyboard tooltip mode with
Ctrl+F1 and tooltips will be displayed for the widgets with keyboard focus.
When mouse focus is moved to a different widget, the tooltip for the widget
with mouse focus will not be displayed. Instead you will see the tooltip for
widget with the keyboard focus. Once you exit the keyboard focus by
pressing Ctrl+F1 once again, mouse focus shows tooltips.
I feel this problem is not specific to any application.
