the problem was that a .h file generated from orbit-idl had an #include
line, which included another orbit-idl generated file, which make didn't
know how to make - because it was specified as:

#include <bonobo-activation/Bonobo_Activation_Types.h>

or something like that.  i can reproduce it tomorrow if you really are
interested.
