Great. AFAIR from our previous discussions, we should be able to
plug different implementations to esound at the back end. We deliberately
have exposed only a very mind blowingly simple and noddy API in libgnome
for playing sounds: see the ~5 methods in gnome-sound.h.
If you want to write an alternative CSL backend - go for it;
should be trivial, we'd be most interested in the code.
Adding an entirely new sound API is not going to happen though,
and neither is breaking the currently release API likely.
