Decisions:
----------
  * Recommend Karl Gaffney as QA coordinator for 1.4
  * Recommend Leslie Proctor and Greg Corrin as PR coordinators
    for 1.4
  * GNOME 1.4 will ship with gdm2 + patchs


Work Done:
----------
  ACTION: Maciej to recruit QA and PR coordinators
          -> Done.
  ACTION: Maciej to update 1.4 package list.
          -> To be completed.
  ACTION: Ian and Jamin to release "extra apps" list.
          -> To be completed.


Work in Progress:

  ACTION: Maciej will ask board to approve PR and QA coordinators.
  ACTION: Maciej will release list of 1.4 packages.
  ACTION: Ian and Jamin will release preliminary list of "extra
          apps", description of criteria, and find a new name
          to replace "extra apps".

Agenda Items Left For Next Meeting:

Agenda:

QA coordinator for 1.4:
  * Karl Gaffney from Sun's desktop group volunteered. He has
    experience in this work and is already doing testing work
    for the GNOME/Solaris 1.4 release.
  * We Unanimously agree that should request that the Board of 
    Directors appoints him.
  * Maciej will bring the point to the board.

PR Coordinator for 1.4:
  * We had a team of two people volunteer. They are:
    * Leslie Proctor, who has done previous GNOME/FSF PR work.
    * Greg Corrin who does marketing at Eazel. (It has been 
      made clear that this will be GNOME PR, independent 
      from any Eazel-specific PR).
  * Partial overview of their tasks:
    * Write press releases
    * Get quotes when necessary for press releases or media
    * Coordinate issuing press releases and media coverage
  * Maciej will ask the board to approve them.

Finalizing package lists:
  * Maciej will finalize the package list for the core release
  * Ian and Jamin will release a first draft of their
    package list for "extra apps" on the mailing list soon 
    for public discussion.
  * Ian and Jamin will try to find a better name than "extra apps"

GDM:
  * We need a good gdm.
  * It is not getting much attention.
  * gdm3 is unlikely to be done in time.
  * gdm2 needs a lot of patches.
  * Jacob agreed to merge in the existing patches to gdm2 to 
    produce a good version for 1.4.

Schedule:
  * Short discussion of timing, freezing schedule, beta schedule 
  * Decided to leave this discussion until next week when the
    QA person has joined the team.
