[gnet] gnet_init() hang on linux 2.6.5

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you have seen this problem previously.
I have an application that works fine on SUSE linux 2.4.21, but
hangs in gnet_init() on SUSE linux 2.6.5. As a further complication,
the code is question is built into a shared library. Placed on
linux 2.4, it works, but placed on linux 2.6, it hangs in gnet_init().

Any ideas?
