[gnet] Gnet 2.0.5 build problem on Fedora Core 2 x86_64

Any ideas on how to solve the following configure error with GNet 2.0.5?

I am trying to build gnet 2.0.5 on Fedora Core 2 x86_64 for AMD Opteron 
64bit.


Error:
