Hi,
it appears that a new linker flag -R/path/to/lib were added to gnet-2.0.pc,
changed from how it was in gnet-2.0.2.
devhost [tim] - ~ ---> pkg-config --libs gnet-2.0
-R/usr/local/lib -pthread -L/usr/local/lib -lgnet-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lglib-2.0
I was wondering what reasons there are for this change.
Doesn't this mean, that the -R parameter overrides the LD_* environment
variables, so that I can't test a binary with different gnet-versions without
relinking?
gcc-3.3.1 and some other gcc versions complain about it like this:
gcc: unrecognized option `-R/usr/lib'
Any plans to change this back? It seems to irritate people who compile
packages linking against gnet ;-)
Cheers
-Tim
