Hi there GMIME folks-- i got the 3.2.1 tarball from https://download.gnome.org/sources/gmime/3.2/gmime-3.2.1.tar.xz, sha256sum of 56fe6f4f10dc7ee31cc026fd433a06972301cc4ef2d2f6ce78d2dfdfa9b2c560 It does not contain gmim/GMime-3.0.metadata, the way that gmime 3.2.0 did. that file is also available in the git repository. As a result the build doesn't work, with the following error: make[3]: Entering directory '/home/dkg/src/gmime/gmime/gmime' make[3]: *** No rule to make target 'GMime-3.0.metadata', needed by 'gmime-3.0.vapi'. Stop. make[3]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... GICOMP GMime-3.0.gir make[3]: Leaving directory '/home/dkg/src/gmime/gmime/gmime' make[2]: *** [Makefile:1021: all-recursive] Error 1 i'm happy to just copy in the .metadata file from the git repo for debian, but i do wonder how it got dropped from the tarball, or if there's something else that i'm missing about the build process. any pointers or suggestions on how to reduce my confusion? --dkg
