Re: Glom

Sorry, I don't have enough unpaid free time to support a Windows
installer too. In theory, if enough people care about that then a
someone will work on a newer Windows installer. But for now, the Windows
version is ancient.

Hi,

a colleague of mine was looking to replace a small business appointment
scheduling system that was made using MS Access and by using
Alternativeto.net I found your software Glom. We first tried to use it
under Windows 7 and once we added the missing msvcr7.dll in the right
folder it started working but we had the feeling that Glom was loosing
record edits and at some point we tried to restart it and it didn't
started at all.

I tried it under Ubuntu and it look like it's more robust in that
environment so I'm confident that we could acheive better results under
windows.

Is there a place on the net where we can find help to better understand
how we can make it run more smoothly under Windows ?

Best regards,
