Perhaps you should add the directory containing `pygda-1.2.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

I can't seem to find any references to pygda on my Ubuntu system,
"apt-file search pygda" returns no results. Further, googling for
pygda does not reveal to me where I can aquire this. Can someone clue
me in as to what I'm supposed to install in order to fulfill this
requirement, and how I might get it? I'd love to be able to test out
glom, it seems quite promising.

pygda is very new. From source, it's in the gnome-python-extras 2.11.x
tarball. Hopefully it will be packaged soon.

I recommend jhbuild for building from source.
