I am in the process of doing downloads and installs for the gtkmm 2.0 package
you really should prefer 2.4
The following packages have been successfullly installed. # gtkmm-2.2.12.tar.gz # libglademm-2.2.0.tar.gz # libgnomecanvasmm-2.0.1.tar.gz # gconfmm-2.0.2 # libgnomemm-2.0.1.tar.gz # libgnomeuimm-2.0.0.tar.gz downloaded, unzipped and tar'd. When I do the ./configure for libgnomeuimm-2.0.0 I get the following checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-configchecking for libgnomeui-2.0 >= 1.111.1 libgnomemm-2.0 >= 1.3.10 libgnomecanvasmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 gconfmm-2.0 >= 2.0.1 libglademm-2.0 >= 2.0.0... Package libgnomemm-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnomemm-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'libgnomemm-2.0' foundApparently it is looking for libgnomemm-2.0 instead of -2.0.1. How do I correct the problem so I can successfully finish the install of libgnomeuimm-2.0.0?
actually it should recognize libgnomemm-devel-2.0.1 since this package should ship libgnomemm-2.0.pc.
But if you really would like to do gnome development I can only recommend you to use libglademm, since glademm does not support gnome widgets well (lack of need on my side). If libglademm does not suit your need you might come back and implement the missing parts you need.
Actually this is only one of several problems I am having getting glademm for C++ to work.
Sorry, I tend to reply to posts from subscribers more directly and I lost access to the administrative interface (wading through 500+ spam mails is no fun either, so it's no great loss).
