[Glade-users] Use Markup in Glade

Well, in my python code I use
pangoFont = pango.FontDescription("Verdana 12")
myLabel.modify_font(pangoFont)
 
and it does modify the font no matter if I do set 'Use Markup' in Glade or don't. So, the question is, is 
this the right way to do things: just set font in the code like above and don't set 'Use Markup' in Glade?
