Hi,
I am curious why does Glade not use Glade for it's UI?
It's something we want to do, but I'm always running after crashes
and unfortunately, there arent really any other developers.
(honestly, some people come and either scratch an itch or
implement something cool, I always appreciate that of course).
If you're interested in taking this up, a good place to start would
be here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365079
i.e., Glade uses a handful of customized widgets that should be
wrapped by a catalog to allow Glade to "edit" it's own frontend.
Also, Glade should be able to use GtkBuilder fragments to
implement the custom editors, even the main editor and
notebook could be built with GtkBuilder (but not things like,
dynamically populating a list of properties, that goes without
saying).
There's no real reason why this cant be done, it's just a matter
of time that I dont right now have to invest (I have to devote my
time to make Glade work for 3.0 right now).
So, please hang out with us in #glade3 and help us do better :)
Cheers,
-Tristan
