Hi Tristan!
Thanks for making the question of wigdets over drawing areas clear.
The only reason I am using version 2.12.2 is that it was in the
repository of the Linux distribution I am using. I think I had better
upgrade it :)

Is there a really bad bug in Glade 3.6 that makes it unusable for you ?
(please let me know; I just now released it), otherwise, is there a reason
why Glade 3.4 does not work for you ?
For your question, no you cannot place a widget into a drawing area
(a drawing area is not a container) but you can place one into the tab
of a notebook by first removing the label (you can then add an hbox
and alignment if you want).

Hello!
Using Glade 2.12.2, is it possible to put a Button directly onto the
Drawing Area, and to put an Icon onto a Tab of a Notepad, beside the
text?
For the second question, I guess I should do something like add a
container to a tab, and then add the icon and the text to the
container. However Glade does not let me put e. g. Vertical or
Horizontal Boxes on Tabs.
For the first one, I am not really sure whether it is possible at all,
because I do not see a way of adding a container over a Drawing Area.
Thanks,
Andras
